IMA advances medical expenses for hospitalization and/or outpatient care if the amount exceeds 763 euros and up to a limit of 200,000 euros/year. In addition, emergency room visits, considered as outpatient care, are also subject to an advance payment by IMA if the amount exceeds 763 euros.
Outpatient care (consultations, medical imaging and biological tests, home care, etc.) does not require an advance payment. You must pay the provider directly and then request reimbursement from your mutual insurance company.
